August 1, 2014 – April Navarro, a former law clerk in DK Law Group, LLP’s Oxnard office, is an inspiration for many who want to make a difference. Ms. Navarro, even though she was admitted to the California State Bar only a year ago (April 2013), already has a ton of legal experience in practice areas as diverse as intellectual property law from working at NBC Universal to criminal law from working at the California Attorney General’s Office as a postgraduate government fellow in the Criminal Division. She has been able to defy stereotypes as a local girl from La Colonia by not only being the first in her family to go to college, but to graduate from one of the top law schools in the country, Columbia University.
How did she do it?
You can read about her journey from being a young girl with a dream to an accomplished new attorney in the Ventura County Bar Association’s Citations article: COLONIA TO COLUMBIA: New Bar Admittee April Navarro.
We wish Ms. Navarro the very best. Go get’em!
