DK Law Group, LLP is pleased to announce that Connor M. Karen, graduate of UC Davis law school Class of 2017, has passed the July 2017 California Bar Exam.
Connor earned his undergraduate degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a major in English and minor in Philosophy, and has been working for the firm since taking the Bar exam in July. He has taken a special interest in pursuing class action litigation, currently devoting much of his time to the pending claim against the manufacturers of electroconvulsive therapy (“ECT”) devices for their failure to comply with medical device regulations by reporting known adverse events to the FDA.
While at UC Davis, Connor wrote an article entitled “Parallel State Duties: Ninth Circuit Class Actions Premised On Violations Of Fdca Reporting Requirements.” The article won American Association for Justice (AAJ)’s 2017 Law Student Class Action writing competition and is slated to be published in American Constitution Society’s Advance journal. Connor’s research has contributed largely to the pending ECT litigation, currently being prosecuted by the firm in the Central District of CA.
